This summer I really wanted to learn how to garden. I love the idea of walking to the backyard and picking veggies. Since I have a pretty busy work schedule and was in school at the time I figured an herb garden with a few tomato plants would be perfect. It has been great cooking with all of my wonderful herbs and I can't wait for the salsa. I have really enjoyed it and look forward to expanding it next year!

People watching in the Burg

I am an avid people watcher. I love to go to the Mall, parks, and Wal-Mart(the later the better for this one, critters really do come out of the woodwork.) You can see some much and completely be entertained for free. This past week or so the sun has come out and been shining its glorious rays on some seriously deprived Idahoans. As luck would have it, summer in Rexburg is the best for people watching. Since I go to school and work in Rexburg I get to do a lot of it. This has its moments of …. well Rexburg-esque-ness. You can’t really describe it till you have been there and witnessed it firsthand. You can tell its summer by the sheer volume of couples cuddling/ making out on blankets and babies in strollers in Porter Park. It is fascinating! With this I decided to make an ode to Love in the Burg. Here are 5 pickup lines I have heard used this week. (Keep in mind I overheard these they are first person :) )

1.) Your really hot can I buy you a pop at Horkley’s… to cool you down!

2.) Wait you live where… I live like a street away. Are we FHE brotherand sister?

3.) I have a scooter…. Wanna go for a ride?(this by a very very large boy)

4.) Scrubs… you get to wear scrubs! You are so lucky I wish I could too! Wanna go for a walk? You wont even get to hot because you have your lightweight scrubs on! (I had to laugh at this one… I would have gone too if I wasn’t on my way to work)

5.) Wanna play Frisbee with me I have one in my backpack.

Ok so these are lame but I got a smile out of them and I hope you can too!

Love List

I have been a little down lately being all cranky, crabby, and whatnot. So I decided to blog about what makes me Happy! So here is my Love List… All the stuff I love and makes me smile.

• Idaho- (Now this one at times even makes me wonder… ie wind go away.) I love my home state! I drove a different way to Rexburg today and saw buffalo grazing two fields away from Llamas how random/ awesome is that! I love all the different farm animals I get to see daily. Like the goats I get to see every day on my way to school and work. I even make stupid jokes about them being my kids(a baby goat also known as a kid:) total biology lesson here folks).

• Farmers- I love seeing these gianormous pieces of machinery traveling at ridiculously slow speeds down the freeway. I smile every time I see them which is pretty often right now with spring planting and tilling going on.


• Ranchers- Let us not forget the ranchers… need I say more :)

• TinLee- I love my niece she is the sweetest thing ever. I love the fact I am an Auntie. Babies are the best.


• Music- Currently my favorites include Eric Church, Josh Gracin, and Gary Allen, Famous in a Small town by Miranda Lambert, Georgia Clay- Josh Kelly.



• Book of Mormon- Its true. Trust.




• Bishop and Sister Bartola- these people are amazing!! Besides sharing a birthday with they have always/will always be great examples and friends to me. If I can be half as amazing I will feel truly blessed.

• My Family- obviously this list isn’t in order. I am really lucky to be blessed with my amazing family. Meet them and you will be jealous!

• My friends all the ones that matter know who they are and how grateful I am for you!

• Randoms- baking, hunting, fishing, reading, Pepsi, Lexie!

Accepted

Well world I got accepted to Utah State for their Dietetics Program! If all goes as planned I will be living in Logan in the Fall. I know the self proclaimed Utah Hater will voluntarily become a resident of the state.

I am so excited she is finally here! In my totally biased opinion you really can’t get much cuter. She is so sweet and tiny. TinLee is so precious! It will be fun to have a sweet baby to love on and to play with.

How I Waste Time Like a PRO

Hello My Name is Christine and I am a PROCRASTINATOR!!!!!!!
It is actually an issue how bad I really am. Right now my nemesis’ are as follows by the sheer amount of time I spend wasting time and not really getting what I need to do done!

1 FACEBOOK: I swear I have looked at your cousin’s uncle’s friend’s mom’s wedding album twice. I really do have better things to do yet, I continue to Facebook stalk!

2 GMAIL: I log on at school and even though it takes me under 20 min to check my emails I stay on and look at nothing and you should probably not get me started about Gmail chat.

3 BLOGGER: I blog stalk as bad as I Facebook stalk. I read the blogs I follow, Nie Nie, Cakewrecks(I love this one bwahaha), My family’s, and my friends.

4 KINDLE: This was the perfect present for me but I would rather read then do most things so again a problem. Not only the reading but the free books, Amazon has tons that refresh hourly so you need to check back often for the new free ones :)
